Surf Maroc - Taghazout Villa

The Taghazout Villa is one of the longest running and best known surf camps in the area and has ocean views across to Anchor Point. It is a characteristic, quirky camp with 11 comfortable bedrooms. There are a mix of twins, triples and quad set ups to cater for all sizes and each room is styled in its own unique way. Three bedrooms are en-suite. There are a further two shared bathrooms that have two showers and two WC's being available to the other rooms. There are two further WC's available in addition to these bathrooms. Linen is included alongside towels, a safe box, fan and free wifi.

With a passionate team dedicated to make your experience nothing but the best, the food on offer is awesome! Breakfasts are served on the main terrace overlooking the surf and can include: fresh fruit, juices, pancakes, eggs, yoghurts, cereals, omelettes, fress coffee and tea plus some local Moroccan delicacies.

Packed lunches are provided so that you can be mobile. Whether you eat these on a sunbed on one of the terraces or whether you take it to the beach... the choice is yours. It varies each day but can include filled baguettes, pastas, salads alongside fresh fruit and something to cater for the sweet tooth individuals amongst us.

Surf Maroc's wonderful local chefs will cook up a range of international and Moroccan classics such as tagines, kebabs, couscous salads, fresh local fish to BBQ's and vegetarian options. Dessert is served after each meal.

Surf lessons + Equipment

Surf Maroc have a variety of surf levels that they cater for from beginners to seasoned pros. The most popular option is their guiding. With so many varied surf spots near Taghazout, the surf guides will make sure you end up at the best break for your level. The guides have all grown up surfing the area and therefore have more knowledge than anyone else! They also have a fleet of vans to get you to the spots, or 4x4's to get you to the ones that are a little harder to get to.

They also have beginner and high performance boards to rent plus wetsuits! Unlike many camps, they ensure that the high performance boards that are rented are actually really good quality and well looked after too.

Nightlife + other activities

Whilst Morocco is generally speaking a dry country, there are a few places where you can go for a drink and a boogie. Your closest bet, is the Villa's sister accomodation - the Amouage. Once a week most of the town decends upon it for the BBQ and drinks night. A 15 minute car ride north will get you to Paradise Plage. Here (usually on Tuesdays), there is a party which goes on past midnight. From here, you can call it a night or venture in to Agadir to one of the clubs.

Yoga + other cool stuff

Surf Maroc have two awesome yoga teachers who offer uplifting and regenerating classes for all abilities. The classes can be tailored perfectly for a 'yoga week' or 'yoga retreat' only, or can be a great add-on to a surf week which will help you relax after a long day out in the water. At present there is Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Kundalini and relaxing Hatha and Yin yoga.
